ONYX IN SCOTTISH CUP FINAL

After a great performance in yesterday's semi-final, Onyx are through to the final of the Scottish Cup 2011! In the event held at Meadowbank, Onyx put in a very impressive display to see off St. Andrews 67-24. They will face old rivals Bellahoustoun in the final after they saw off Glasgow Saltires. It should be a great match, and will be taking place on Saturday May 21st at 3.30 in the Ally McCoist Sports Centre, East Kilbride - come and show your support!

SEASON 2010/2011 UPDATE

Well folks, it's been another great season for Edinburgh Netball Club. Despite the website not being updated for yonks (oops!) there has been lots going on. First of all, let's see what our success on the court has been like:

CENA

All four of our senior teams did extremely well in the City of Edinburgh Netball League this year. Once again, ONYX ran out league champions in ephatic style - with a goal difference of +471 a demonstration of their dominance! Great performances week in week out have seen Onyx retain their league title for the 7th year in a row!

Another great season from SCARLETS saw them cement their place in Edinburgh's top four once again. Always competetive, Scarlets only lost some of their matches by very small margins  - often only one or two goals in it. But with more great team spirit, Scarlets prove they are definitely a force to be reckoned with in Division 1.

A very encouraging league season performance was put in by ROYALS - a fifth place finish meant a higher league placing than ever before - only just missing out on a top four spot on goal difference - a very commendable achievement!!

You can always rely on OCEANS to put in a gritty and determined performance - some really hard earned wins saw them stay clear of the drop-zone and keep their place in Division 2 for another season. Faced with a squad of essentially new players this year, Oceans dug deep and had some great battling wins - sometimes even by just one point!!

Off the court, we have had many great social events this year - these have included a fabulous ceilidh thrown by Onyx and Oceans, and jewellery party/fundraiser, a 6 nations sweepstake, a Christmas meal and a bowling night. Not to mention many nights out for our teams!! A lot of cash has been raised for the club and a lot of fun has been had!

As we do every year at ENC, we had our Player of the Year awards at our AGM. This year's winners were:
